Dennis Schulz

Dennis arbeitet als Software Consultant und Programmierer. Er gewann über 50 Science Slams, moderierte Diskussionsrunden, Slams und Pub Quizzes, und spielt Improtheater. Zusammen mit Annika Brockschmidt veröffentlichte er den Podcast Science Pie und das Buch “Goethes Faust und Einsteins Haken” (Rowohlt 2016), das auf Koreanisch und Russisch übersetzt wurde. Zudem ist er Mitgründer des Kalamari Klub, eines Kollektivs für analoge Fotografie. Seine Doktorarbeit schrieb er im Bereich der Tieftemperaturphysik; danach war er Postdoc für Wissenschaftskommunikation.

Dennis is working as a software consultant and programmer - but he has always had a lot of hobbies: he won over 50 science slams all over Germany, Switzerland and Japan, hosts discussion rounds and pub quizzes and plays improv theatre. Together with Annika Brockschmidt, he published the podcast Science Pie and the book “Goethes Faust und Einsteins Haken” (Rowohlt 2016), which was translated into Russian and Korean. He is the co-founder of Kalamari Klub, an artist collective for analog photography. He finished his PhD in the field of low temperature physics and worked as a postdoc for science communication.

Lisa Ringena

Als Postdoc für Wissenschaftskommunikation koordiniert Lisa große Kooperationen zwischen Kunst und Wissenschaft, bringt neue Projekte in die Welt und trägt die Wissenschaft eines ganzen Sonderforschungsbereichs in die Öffentlichkeit. Bis vor kurzem stand sie noch selber im Labor: Bei ihrer Doktorarbeit im Bereich der Atomphysik fing sie Atome in einer Lichtfalle, um die Atome präzise ausmessen zu können. Vor ihrer Moderation bei Quasi klar gründete sie das Science Pub Quiz in Heidelberg mit, unterstütze die Neugründung eines Pub Quiz in Österreich und moderierte Slams für die Uni Stuttgart.

As a postdoc for science communication, Lisa takes over the coordination of large science-art cooperations, creates new projects and works to communicate the research of an entire Collaborative Research Centers to the public. Until recently, she herself worked in the lab: for her PhD thesis, she trapped atoms in a trap to enable precision measurements on them. Before her hosting Quasi klar, she co-founded the Science Pub Quiz in Heidelberg, helped with the foundation of another pub quiz in Austria, and hosted science slams for the University Stuttgart.

Nikolas Liebster

Nikolas ist Atom- und Quantenphysiker und arbeitet an seiner Doktorarbeit im Bereich der ultrakalten Atome. Seine wissenschaftlichen Ergebnisse wurden unter anderem in der Zeitschrift Nature veröffentlicht und von vielen weiteren Medien aufgegriffen, zum Beispiel in einem Artikel des Onlinemagazins Vice. Er ist erfahrener Moderator in der Wissenschaftskommunikation und Experte dafür, Wissenschaft in Experimenten und Demonstrationen greifbar zu machen. Diese Expertise hat er unter anderem bei Ausstellungen in naturwissenschaftlichen Museen angewandt.

Nikolas is an atomic and quantum physicist, currently working on his PhD in the field of ultra-cold atoms. His scientific results have been published in the journal Nature, and have attracted broader media attention, including the online publisher Vice. He is an experienced host and coordinator of science communication events, and is an expert in making science tangible and intuitive by using experiments and demonstrations. With this expertise he has been involved in work at science museums.
